Dr. Randy Rapp is an Associate Professor of Construction Management at Purdue University.
Among many varied functions, he leads the Disaster Restoration and Reconstruction Management specialization at Purdue, a position established in 2008 to serve as a nexus between the disaster restoration industry and academia. Rapp has been elected and appointed to serve on boards and committees of the leading disaster restoration organizations of the construction industry. Since leading construction equipment to cut fire lanes in a burning tire graveyard in 1976, Rapp has intermittently planned for and responded to disasters and other contingencies at home and abroad as an Engineer officer in the U.S. Army and as a department and program manager for Kellogg, Brown and Root.
